Welcome to Classical Photography! My wife, Sherry, and I appreciate your interest in our services. We've been blessed to be in business in Carrollton since August of 1994. It's hard to believe that 2024 was our 30TH year serving families of West Georgia and Eastern Alabama. We started from very humble beginnings, just off the square in downtown Carrollton. We've moved our studio a couple of times since then, but we're now blessed to have settled into a beautiful 15 acre property on Hay's Mill Road. This location is home to us, but also serves as a one of a kind backdrop for the work you see on our website. In the early part of 2017 we transitioned into a renovated studio space behind our home.  This space gives us so much more room for photography and our clients. We have multiple dressing rooms, a portrait viewing room, dedicated portrait framing and work room space and what is probably the largest inside studio in the West Georgia area with a camera room of more than 1100 square feet. This inside space features numerous sets as well as literally hundreds of backdrops to coordinate with any outfit.

We're also blessed to be the parents of two beautiful daughters, Audrey, 24, and Sophie, 18. Both are Carrollton High School graduates, like their mom. Since CHS, Audrey graduated with high honors from Georgia Tech, majoring in Industrial Engineering and is working for a cyber security company in the Atlanta area. Sophie is a freshman at the University of Georgia. At UGA, in addition to juggling freshman life, she is a member of the Tri Delta sorority. Yes, we are most definitely a house divided with daughters representing both Georgia Tech and UGA!

In our past, you could say that we created a lot more in-studio portraits than outdoor portraits, but with our relocation to this stunning landscape, we find ourselves working a lot more outside. This doesn't mean that we can't create studio work, in fact, we're one of the few photographers in West Georgia that still has a working camera room. It does mean that most of our sessions have a combination of both indoor and outdoor work. This is especially helpful when working with newborns and babies. There will always be a time of the year when it's too hot or too cold to work with a baby outdoors. In that regard, we're blessed to have numerous options inside to ensure your child remains safe and comfortable throughout their entire session.
